International Networks - Internationalization
UNIP's Graduate Program in Communication sees internationalization as an essential strategy for broadening the social impact of its actions and deepening the complexity of the research developed. The research carried out within the scope of the Program links global communication phenomena, such as platformization and mediatization, with local and national manifestations, such as urban media practices or Afro-Brazilian religious expressions.
Although not all research requires international cooperation, dialogue with foreign contexts has proved decisive on a number of fronts. For this reason, the PPG prioritizes the inclusion of teachers and students in national and international research networks, whether in person or remotely.
Among the results achieved in the 2021-2024 quadrennium, the following stand out: participation in projects funded by international organizations; publications in foreign journals and books; academic mobility; supervision and co-supervision of theses at international institutions; and the participation of the Program's professors in teaching and research activities, as well as on editorial boards and committees abroad. These indicators prove the consistency of the PPG's internationalization policy and its contribution to the advancement of science and society, as can be seen below:
